Choosing the Phone to Fit Your Hearing Needs
General December 8th, 2009When having hearing loss problems, we consult our doctor then submit ourselves to different laboratory and hearing tests that can actually diagnose our problems. When diagnosed to have hearing loss, hearing aids are suggested by our doctors, then we both select the perfect one for us. It should be perfect for our hearing conditions and the one that can provide comfort to us.
We do not only choose the right hearing aids for us, but also have to choose the right phone that can coincide with our hearing aids to avoid the any interference.
In finding the compatible phones for persons with hearing loss, three things are need to be considered and these are the T-rating which refers to the Telecoil, M-rating that refers to microphone and lastly the RF-rating that refers to radio frequency. A T4 and M3 or M4 rating cell phones are considered to be compatible with persons who have hearing loss. These are the cell phones that reduce the sound interference to the maximum level while utilizing the earphones.
Radio frequency is used for the transmission and reception of the sounds. However, having these kinds of cell phones can never be the perfect solution for it can never control the magnetic reference brought about by the cell phone battery all the time.
It is advisable to test the cell phones in different locations if you are wearing hearing aids. You may have the compatible one but still has rooms for radio frequency interference when stopped at a location with bad network coverage. Be wise enough in picking the right phone for you.
